Isabelle Powaga formed chic trio Antena in Paris in 1981 together with Sylvain Fasy and Pascale Moiroud. After scoring cult hits with their arch single The Boy From Ipanema and classic mini album Camino Del Sol in 1982, the band left Les Disques du Crepuscule for major label releases on Island and Mercury. As Isabelle Antena, Isabelle returned to Crepuscule for the album En Cavale in 1986, followed by her second solo set Hoping For Love. Since then Isabelle has released a further eleven albums (including Carpe Diem and Easy Does It), her writing spanning jazz, funk and latin, achieving notable success in Japan and the Far East. She has quietly sold more than a million albums, yet remains an underground artist, feted by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Thievery Corporation and Buscemi. 2006 saw the release of a band new Antena album, Toujours du Soleil, followed in 2010 by Bossa Super Nova.
