Canadian puppeteer Ronnie Burkett discusses his adult plays for marionettes at the Puppet Centre Trust on 22 April 2007. This talk, titled Text and Performance, is part of a talk series titled Puppetry in Progress, sponsored by Royal Holloway, University of London; the Puppet Centre Trust; and the London Centre for Arts and Cultural Enterprise. In this clip, Burkett discusses his decision to leave New York and return to Canada to develop his first marionette show.
oh my goodness! I saw him in his newest play "Billy Twinkle" a couple of days ago...absolutely magical and takes a wonderful dark turn! :) very wonderfully done, and yes, definitely one of Canada's most talented artists :)

I saw Ronnie do "Happy" a bunch of years ago-- it was so incredibly moving -- I've always wanted to see him again, and haven't had the opportunity. I highly recommend everyone see his next performance! I promise you won't be disappointed.
