  • She is lying, she says feeling positive, but her head denies it.

  • 3 weeks later her problem was totally resolved. She has also gone on to run a very successful business managing many employees. You will be mislead if you pay attention to only one nonverbal gesture. Notice how her face has become more relaxed compared to the start & she is smiling & making confident eye contact at the end.

Also, I suggest that you not accuse people of lying, which is a conscious act. She is not "lying". You lose cooperation whenever you accuse.

  • Do you know if a great video of how to deal with diffucult family members?

  • I don't know of a video, but you can find some good information on the shrinkinabox website.

  • Here's something: The amount of judgment you perceive you are receiving from others is equal to the amount of judgment that you mete out in your own mind every day.Judge not and you won't perceive judgment. (I know, thats the hard part, isn't it?) ;-)

  • @HTMonaro76 I disagree. My belief is that it's simply a personality issue and just like some people are tall and thin while others are short and squat, also some people tend to be shy, timid and reserved while others can be loud and ill-tempered. I also think that gaining an appreciation of how to get the most from each type, and get them 'on-side' puts one in a far stronger position than simply either criticising or distancing ourselves from one or the other. We all have hot and cold spots.

  • I found this online two days ago and went to the website. Using Dr. Mark's (that's his name)philosophy, I was ready to confidently and diplomatically deal with a bad situation with a friend I was afraid to confront. Check it out
