Ignore the first part of the video, as I didn't battle the first Fisherman on Silence Bridge. But it is required that you have already battled him or like I did in the video battle him. Okay for the steps:
1. Obviously do the Mew Trick (more info can be found here at GCL: http://glitchcity.info/wiki/index.php/Mew_Trick)
2. Fly only to Lavender Town, because this is the only way the glitch will work.
3. Travel down to where Snorlax would be found, skip every trainer along the way for the glitch to work.
4. As you can see in my video, Snorlax is now gone and not blocking your path allowing you to travel down Silence Bridge and to continue without the Poke Flute to Fuchsia City.
Note: The Poke Flute is required to obtain Sabrina's badge unless you have a cheating device. This is because Team Rocket has taken control of Saffron City (of course) and one grunt blocks the entrance to Sabrina's Gym. Therefore if you have a cheating device just use the walk through walls code (You'll have to find the code yourself...). Remember the grunt blocking Silph Co.'s door will move because you have defeated Team Rocket in Lavender Town. (In which afterwards you get the Poke Flute from Mr. Fuji.) Also with this glitch the Snorlax blocking your way may be permanently deleted from the game, though this doesn't affect the one blocking Cycling Road. I think the reason why this happens is because since the game thinks you're in a trainer battle Snorlax's sprite doesn't load, because all overworld sprites disappear when you enter a battle, therefore the game never loads it's sprite. It's data may still be there, I never checked but I'll look more into this glitch in the future. • I tried this in yellow... and it didn't work! any other methods? cool video, anyway!

  • Will this work if you come from the Vermillion side? And what are the specifics to the Snorlax disappearing? Is there a way to make it disappear for good if you want it to be gone?

  • That is an interesting find, good job!
