Season nine, wasn't the same when Linda Evans left, major gap in that season without her.

I think Stephanie Beacham filled Krystles gap quite well though I love Krystle but I did not miss her at all in Season 9 as Sable vs Alexis kept me interested regardless.

Dynasty was cacelled this year because of a terribly timeslot change after the ratings had been dropping for several seasons.

But Season 9 was the best year for the show in ages.

@smck2009 I so agree, Stephanie Beacham had the best comic timing as she purred out her insults to Alexis. It was so refreshing compared to the constant declarative "I WILL DESTROY YOU"

I have to agree with some of the comments here about season 8 being more the reason for the cancellation than season 9. Season 8 was just awful, and as a result, producers had lower budgets, a bad timeslot change from the network, and less PR to work with for season 9.

Creatively, and given what they had to work with this season, the show is more solid this year than in the previous 2.

And I have to say, Krystle had become boring. Her presence is not missed. I think even Linda knew that.

@smck2009 To me, it was so clear why the show was cancelled after this season. It sucked! Bringing in Stephanie Beacham was a disaster (a cheap Alexis knock-off that was so unoriginal) & her presence gave her starring roles in 2 cancelled shows in 2 years. The plots were stupid (even by Dynasty standards) & even Alexis was stale & boring. Two snooty British bitches was one too many. Blake was older than ever & Dex was uglier & more disgusting than evr before. He & Sable were one ugly couple.

@smck2009 I agree. I never really liked Krystle, myself.  She was dull, except for when she threw dishes that one time.

I can't believe that the captain thinks that the guy jumped-between him & the Zorrelli guy they're making the police look like they only hire the stupidest people they can find. If he asked around I'm sure that someone would have seen a person (or two) going back and forth from the apartment.
