UPDATE: JUST HIT 232,000 MILES 2/16/08. :)
My 1990 Park Avenue. Still runs and drives like dream with over 213,700 miles on it. But wait, it's an American car, it can't have that many miles on it, can it? You better believe it can. So many misconceptions about American cars out there, it's truly unbelievable.

  • yea how many transmissions have you been through?the engines are good if they could only build a transmission as good as the engine it would be great

  • I haven't gone through any transmissions. Albeit it doesn't shift as smoothly as it once did, but it still works just fine. The only repairs I've had to make is a water pump, and an alternator. I just love my Buick, and plan to purchase another one when this one does kick the bucket. A Lucerne or another Park Ave is in my future.

  • @will79601 what are u talkn about i got 220 000 on mine and i drive the shit out it for 3 years now tranny still pretty solid

  • not many make it that far, my 93 buick died with 118 thou on it

  • i have a 1991 LeSabre and i also had to replace the water pump...and also 2 break lines. BUt its a beauty, and runs good.

  • @will79601, these cars don't eat transmissions... not Chryslers, Kias or Hyundais

  • @deltaboy767 I dont freakin know why I put got last night guess to much budweiser lol got it last year

  • @will79601 That is beacuse that is an electronic controlled tranny, which by the way is a very good tranny, have it flushed, asap, now my 92 has the TH4T60, which is an amazing tranny, and able to handle 400+ HP.

  • @deltaboy767 yea I have a 97 riviera with a 4t65e transmision I got last night has burnt fluid and a whine to it but it still shifts perfect maybe it was the 440t4's they put in them till 89

  • @will79601 My 92 Buick Park Avenue has 300+k On the original engine and transmission, and i still have it, although i jut recently purchased a 2010 Impala, Shelby, is still kicking, sttill chugging along like a little champ, so to all those that say GM can't have that many miles on them, think again..

  • I have a '91 Civic with 235,000 miles on it and I've never had to do anything other than change filters and oil. It runs great and gets up 38 mpg. I also had one with 312,000 but I sold it when my GF bought her 2004 Civic.

  • 231k on mine wonderful cars uberly well built
