Crime drove residents and businesses out.The crime rate should drop soon since the thugs have nothing left to steal here and have relocated their gangs,drugs,guns and hate to Cahokia,Belleville,Shiloh,O'fallon,Lebanon,Fairview and Caseyville.

What made it decline was PEOPLE LET IT TO, nobody stood up for it. Laying off police officers isn't going to help fix this either.
