Was there a temple in heaven as Ellen White said or no temple in heaven as the Bible says. You decide.

  • The "cathloic" system is the antichrist system. There are many catholics who are antichrists, and many protestants who are anti christs...if u dont believe me, people should read their bibles more. Anyone who does not believe in Jesus as the son of God, and came in the flesh is an "antichrist". Now that does not mena we hate these people, on the contrary. We are to love these people ! dont have to agree with them, we are care and love these people and hopefully shed light on the truth to them.

  • @atissueweallfalldown Your comment shows your ignorance more than I can. Were you born ignorant or did it just grow on you?

  • Hello Bro. Bingolly1,

I saw this video too of your problem with EGW seeing a temple in Heaven, when you say that the Bible does not say that...

Well, throughout the OT & the NT it clearly says that there is a temple in Heaven.

From Exo. 15:17, all the way to Rev. 1:13 (where Jesus stands in the midst of candlesticks). See also Hebrews 8:2; 9:1,2; 13:11; and on and on...

  • @goodoldenoch I guess that the Apostle John was just lying then when he said "I saw no temple." Imagine that a lying apostle.

  • Hi Bingolly, I am SDA. I understand ur frustration with SDAs. its true that a lot of SDAs have conducted a hate campaign against Catholics. I think that the right place for our disagreement with RCC is in line with other protestants. I also think that SDAs don't contain the full truth - no one organization does. But do I think that we have made progress on things such as salvation by grace and the completeness of Christs' atonement on the cross.

  • Brenda, I understand that there is an element within the SDA that wants the pure gospel message preached within the Church. I can understand their frustrations with the leadership as well. More SDA members such as yourself must begin to speak out. They may have and I am not aware of it. Thanks for your concerns and maybe we can talk again.

  • @Bingolly1 Revelation 21:1 points out that the heaven John referred to without a temple was a new heaven. The temple apparently was part of the "old" heaven.

This is not intended to be a defense of Ellen White or Adventism. I simply thought that you had overlooked some things in the Bible prior to coming to your conclusions. (Sorry about splitting this into two replies. The comment size limit here is ridiculous.)

  • Our nature will be changed and people who make it there will be naturally worshipful and reverent. No veil will be needed to protect God from us (in terms of our natural enmity & tendency to fight against God and sin) or to protect us from God! Remember, Revelation 21 stated previously that the “The former things are passed away”. So we are back in the direct presence of God as we were in the Garden of Eden. That would be wonderful. I pray we can all be there soon. Praise the LORD!

  • wow thanks chatolic guy =D

  • @cobrayuk It is hardly my problem if you cannot understand how to interpret the Bible and are confused about the Old and New Covenant.

  • I also have an sda telling me the only thing in the ark of covenant are the: tablets of stone(ten commandments), but the bible says it is the 2 tablets of stone, aarons bud, and manna, as does ellen's vision. So he is going against ellen by saying that.

  • @HermitintheRain Amen!

  • Christ is the Temple. Christ is the Sabbath. The old covenant was a tutor to teach us about the Truth of what and who Christ is. Christ is the fulfillment of the law. In Christ is everything. He is the way, the truth and the life. All that you read of the old covenant about the way, the truth and the life; if it is not understood in Christ, then it is not understood at all.

  • There is a temple in heaven but is not in the New Jerusalem. Moses was commanded to make the earthly temple as a replica of the heavenly temple.

"Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount." Heb. 8:5

Rev. 21:22 is talking about the New Jerusalem. There is no temple in the New Jerusalem and on the new earth, Jesus is the temple then

    This is two different things
