Looks like the socialist idiocy has reached NY City in a big way. I will refuse to ride anything else than a Caprice, Crown Vic or Town Car. Looks like I will terminate my Yahoo account as well.

While there is still limited production on hybrid vehicles, putting them where they will make the most difference will surely help. Also, hybrids have excellent low-end torque which makes them ideal of taxis and other in-city specialty vehicles. It will also provide a great stress-test environment for the technology.
Hopefully this will also give people the chance to ride in a hybrid and realize they aren't sluggish or slow like the oil companies would want you to believe.
