Can LDR's ever work? What should you know about them, how are they different and what should you do to maximize their potential?

  • Hey Chunnabee! ("Shun-a-bitch"?)

No WONDER you can't find a real relationship! Just keep in mind that people in Second Life think their avatars are "really in love" and have "real" relationships too.

  • I just love all these jackasses that are so in love with love that they totally avoid reality! For every single LDR that you THINK worked, I'll show you 1000 (literally!) that didn't. Worse yet, these people became bitter enemies. Relationships are tough enough WITHOUT the problems of distance.

  • omg.

ur telling people that long distance relationships dont work??

    when they do!

it depends how much u love sum1

there are millions of "LDR's" with people in war.not everyone can love someone that they can see on a daily basis.

so ur telling so much bullshit i wonder how u dont know.

ive been in a long distance relationship for 3years. and i love him.nothing will change tht.

and certainly not sum guy on youtuve telling me it wont work!

    love fills the distance...doc!?

  • I know of MANY long distance relationships that have worked out very well. Some people know eachother better when meeting them online than if they meet in person because in person they may be too shy at first and it would take a while to be themself. I can't stand when people knock down long distance relationships, if a couple is strong enough and open enough, it WILL work. Just because it's not traditional, doesn't mean it can't be love. I'm sorry, but where's your experience?

  • you're lame. they do work out.

  • Love knows no distance, doc.

Therefore I have to disagree with you.

    LDR's CAN work.

But people have to fight for it

That's why it does not work for everyone...

  • This guy is talking the truth..stop bad talking him..the first part about not knowing who ''That'' person really and truly is..is very true too..I have been in two long distant relationships..and guess what..none of the two worked..it was the butterflies..then all the great feelings..then guess what..i never saw her in person..it was just online online phone. After a while we crashed..becus it was tiresome and the the lack of physical contact and understandments were not present.

  • I agree with you wholeheartedly Dr. Neder. While it is possible to get a relationship that might work out over long distance, it is far, far more successful in a local area. LDRs are difficult to manage and the only reason you could feel any sort of lasting affection is if you have been ignored by everyone else in your area (meaning that they don't know how to approach each other.) Both of these problems have solutions that even you've covered.

  • Para quienes hablen mi bello idioma, yo pienso que si se puede, mientras exista honestidad y voluntad. En Venezuela existe un dicho que dice "Querer es poder"

  • To quote Congressman Barney Frank,

"Trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table."

Please feel free to come back with you grow up.
