The hype does sound great. I won't argue that. However, the patient still gets the needle, and we all know what happens with things that are really hyped up. Such things never, ever live up to the hype. If this ever becomes popular with our dentists, we'll see what happens.

Have you seen the JADA study published in January (Kosaraju et al, 2009) comparing Pain Ease to Benzocaine Gel? Pain Ease, at fifty cents an application, out-performed Benzo Gel significantly in reducing injection pain. This device looks expensive.
