PCRM's newest public service announcement, "Med School," lets viewers know that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and other vegetarian foods can help fight disease. This takeoff on today's popular TV medical dramas shows interns on hospital rounds, working to diagnose patients and prescribe the right treatment. When their resident shows them a colorful array of photos of fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains arranged on an X-ray light board, the interns learn that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and high-fiber foods is an effective tool to prevent and manage cancer, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and other diet-related illnesses and conditions.
Nothing like lack of bio available proteins, saturated fats, cholesterol and vitamin b12 to fight the natural mechanism our bodies use to stay healthy.
