Fake liquor operation busted by authorities in China. The counterfeit operator filled bottles with cheap home-made alcohol using medical grade needles. Sales of $14 million were reported from the operation over the 3 years it ran.
Interesting stuff. I'm reading a book about the history of cognac and it would seem that as early as the 1920's Hennesy and other cognac makers were dealing with the problem of Chinese counterfeits.
