CNN avoids caller hinting Georgia disinformation

Video capture card was on the fritz so I picked still frames over not syncing video.

I uploaded this video as a tool for media studies teachers and students. This is a prime example of big brother on the ear piece directing a talking head.

Listen to how the anchor lady avoids the callers claims of dis information and the fact that CNN reported an air strike that never happened.

I personally dont like CNN but I dont think CNN added the shooting. It was added by the person uploading the video here in youtube. Its very stupid he/she is probably playing some video games in the background while recording this. Another thin I might add, you canadians are lucky to have an ally like the US. I really cant beleive that people are saying that russia is the good guy here. I mean, they are invading our ally. We are nice by not starting WW3 dont you think?

I recorded it using a WinTV-HVR950 USB Hybrid TV stick , how are videogame noise suppose to be recorded into that?

I kid you not, that is the real news cast. I can send you the screwed up video file if you want, it's totally watchable just the video doesn't sync correctly with the audio (so I used still pictures instead).

Why don't you ask CNN for the real tapes?

What is said here is that the information in Georgian TV and Russian TV is quite different. That is true because Russian TV is showing only Kremlin propaganda and outrages lies. Almost all of Russian free press has been crushed by Putin during this decade and mostly propaganda channels have remained.

I totally agree with you. I think it would be great if we can somehow get a website up showing how the media is lying to the people, from BOTH SIDES. We need some examples of how the foreign media is lying as well.

The only propaganda there is the one thrown out there by Saakashvilli and blindly, for the lack of a better term, "installed" into the robotic American minds.

I watched that video and what can I say, it may be authentic though it can also be a staged propaganda trick. I have seen also plenty of material which claim complete opposite. Even if it is then how did she know that figure of 2000 casualties? That seems to be directly from Russian propaganda and noone else has confirmed it. Unfortunately to me today's Russia seems to be even more like 1930s Germany than USSR. Btw, I really hope I'm wrong because if I'm not we all are in really big trouble :(

Fist of all, USSR and today's Russia are two different countries.
