I want to post something that exceeds youtube´s character limit, so I´ll say it in 2 posts:
1.
Hokusai is now one of my biggest idols!
Imagine what might have been if he could have indeed lived another 10 years... I actually believe there is something to the tales of the God´s and deities of Japan.
My new goal in life is to be an expert in Japanese art, folktales and ancient beliefs.

I mean; take the edo-period onmyôji: Abe no Seimei. That guy too had a long life completely free of illness. He was even believed to be the child of a nine-tailed fox.
And Hokusai too: Great insight into the divine beauty of the world, exceptional long life free of disease?
Don´t tell me there´s no connection to something otherworldly there.
(Comment end, see part 1, cause this is the second half of my comment that was too long for the character-limit)

@steaktastebetterpill Thanks for your two-part insightful message :)) Being artists of nature they must of been close to nature. Maybe as you say there is something to be said for leading a simple and contented life like that.
