This guy had this furnace installed in early 2000 and bought a 10 year extended warranty. We've only been out there to fix things and the last time was in late 2006. There's been no preventative maintenance done on this furnace EVER! Worse yet, the warranty had just run out and this guy had to fork over about $700 to fix this thing, including a blower and ventor motor. He wanted to know if the manufacturer could help him out, because in his words "my wife's car was over 10 years old and they helped." This is like driving a car for 3 years without changing the oil and expecting the manufacturer to pony up for a new engine. Ironically, if he'd done the annual maintenance we would have found the problems and fixed them under warranty.

You don't have to apalogize, he should have done the regular maintenence! lol, stuff like this happens alot.
