Sifu using the Lung Ying principles to push hands with a Tai Chi sifu who studided in the Shaolin Temple in China. Notice the sink, swallow, float, spit ideology that is indicative of Lung Ying.

  • Thank you! you should see our real stuff!

  • Oh wow, I am surprised that there are still people that can appreciate the art without the flash of the MMA, UFC.

Simply just enjoying some good old fashion tai chi with the lung ying style. nice to see attitudes adjusting to a more recreational aspect, unfortunately back in my day alot of students dropped out. Tai Chi wasn't "cool", ha they missed out.

  • Yeah, haha! Well the Tai Chi principle is supposed to be an integral part of the system. And believe me, we fight a lot!

  • Good for ya. Majority of them dropped out to take Brazilian Jiu-Jitjitsu. It was the flavour of the decade with the popularity of UFC and "Gracie". Everyone wanted to be the next "Gracie". U know the "types".

Don't get me wrong BJJ is good and all that but its strictly an 1 vs 1 fighting style.

Lung Ying can take on multiple opponents in numerous settings.

Bright side of it though is that Sifu was able to give the remaining students more individualized attention.

  • Who did you train with in Canada? I'm happy to see others that have been exposed to the internal component of Lung Ying! I have rarely seen it!

  • Sifu Ming Chang, Yin Ping, one of the five villages from China. Ours is the southern style.

I would be happy to show u some of the techniques and things u didn't think the human body is possible of doing.

Striking poles strengthen the forearms greatly, also known as the shaolin "Iron gates", nobdy trains the iron gates oldschool way anymore.

I will upload one showing striking & grappling. my grappling is influenced somewhat by Aikido as the concept is similar internally,

  • I have some clips I won't post up here I'll let you see of our combat ideas. My sifu was a 3rd dan in judo before he found Lung Ying. He was taught to use LY in grappling.

  • Definitely worth saving to favorites, good stuff.

  • Yes, that is probably best. As even when I pratice at an local gym, I've noticed the awe & amazement when I unleash the "fury of the dragon". 130 punches in 30 seconds, and no these are not wing chung punches, my rate of attack is considered standard for LY, it can be faster yet...

Yet there are thoese that wish to "exploit" our LY style for personal monetary gain, without respecting the discipline & concept of it. Gimme your E-mail address so I can send u one. I rather not upload to utube.

  • Anytime brother, we always around!
