Eric is een zeer begaafde golfer, maar een ongedisciplineerde student. Zijn leven verandert compleet wanneer hij een weddenschap verliest van een sadistische plastisch chirurg. Hij verliest zijn geld, vriendinnen en waardigheid. Als gevolg hiervan vecht Eric voor de wederopbouw van zijn leven en om de man te worden die hij altijd al had moeten zijn.
