  • i live completely on my own. there are many hermits that are perfectly happy living as a hermit.

also schizofrenia is not a blessing, disguised or not. only, just because someone is schizofrenic doesn't mean that one is useless. one can be both brilliant and schizofrenic, many people were.

it is a very absurd and...dumb assumption to credit all of one's merits, all of one's accomplishments to his mental illness just because he happens to be mental ill. the two things probably do not relate

  • Einsteins use of the word god is misunderstood in this video. "God" in Einsteins context means the laws that govern the universe, Physics that is. Not a personal god. Its a metaphor, is all

His comment about god not playing with dice. Represents a struggle between an old and a new kind of physics. Today we call them Classical Physics, a deterministic world view. And Quantum physics, physics of probability. Einstein did not like the idea of probability in physics, that's all.

  • You are drifting off into problamatic interpretations of AE's perception of the world making false propositions: as suffering living alone and what gratitude list? A light inside of us all? What AE thought of God? We all are egoistic and think only of our selves duh - waste of time and worse misleading unacceptable propostions abound - rubbish as Kant AE made absolute propositions that exclude any God as Kant and Spinoza AE only placates The Enthusiasts

  • agnostic is Greek: Gnosis to know, a the negatived. You simply are ignorant (same root).

Ask God to reveal Himself and seek His face; you'll find Him! Also God is Spirit containing both make and female complete in one so I say "He" because we don't have a word for He/She/Them/Us.

  • Albert Einstein was an atheist he used god metaphors to explain

the world around us but this has been sadly lost on you.

I myself am an agnostic so I'm not pro atheism or religion

I have no axe to grind.

  • I've been alone my entire life basically, but there have been more moments of solitude and aloneness than with someone. I am fine all by myself. You don't need anyone to be happy. And I don't think you should apply what Einstein said in his science and apply it to sociology.

  • I have no idea what that was about.

  • God to Einstein is "Spinonza`s God;" if you don`t know what that is, please look up Baruch Spinoza, but basically that God is simply "all." No personal God, No worship etc.. When asked if he believed in God Einstein famously replied "I believe in the God of Spinoza"

  • You've got to be kidding! John Nash was brilliant, not because of his mental illness, but in spite of it. Many schizophrenics hear voices telling them to kill, usually a relative, and usually the commands are accompanied by reasons to justify the deed. A bit like Abraham who claimed "God" told him to kill his son. And since psychiatry was non existent in those days, of course the fearful, ignorant people around him believed him. Back then every event of nature was regarded as supernatural.
