God Bless him! This made me cry! I went in the Marine Corps at the age of 17 to bring home the hostages in Iran back in 1980. It is people like your dad that inspired me to be great!
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful story!

I was always so proud - and remain so- that Eddie is my Godfather. Col. E.J. "Pat" Bruchman, USMC Ret. is smiling (and knowing him crying his eyes out?!) somewhere up in heaven on a flight deck proud of his wingman! SEMPER FI!!

Godfreys.... What a great honor for your Dad. He really impressed me when I met him at Pat's promotion. He's such a humble man and exemplifies the very best of our Veterans and Nation. What an extraordinary career.
