@Behonkiss They was planning on releasing one in Japan, but because part 2 of the OVA (Sonic vs. Metal Sonic) wasn't a success in Japan, they cancelled not only the OVA CD, but the plans of turning the OVA into a full series. Besides, Sonic isn't as big in Japan compared to America and Europe.

I so, so wish that there had been an official OVA CD released in Japan with high quality, sound effect-free versions of all the songs. Considering what a big name Sonic is, it's kind of surprising that apparently there isn't one.
