A Weird and Pointless Machine

Animation....NOT simulation. Running a simulation to land the egg successfully in the cup probably wouldn't work, given the trajectory and velocity of the egg as it flies through the air, also taking into consideration the size of the egg compared to the cup in which it lands. If i'd had the luxury of more time on this assignment then, just like everything else in the video (bar the fluid) i would have simply keyframed the interaction.

you're right, its not a simulation. A lot of the animation is keyframed and the moving parts of the machinery controlled by expressions. The only 'simulation' in the scene is the RealFlow fluid, and even that isnt terribly well done as i wasnt too familiar with the program when i produced this, and it served merely as a means to an end.

A. If this was real it wouldn't be useless. Since it's used to make an egg.

B. That first large gear connected to the small gear buy an arm wouldnt work.
