Crime & Investigation Network launched in July 2006 and in under three years has become the second highest rated factual channel. CI showcases a variety of high quality programme content from around the world, including acclaimed investigative series, documentaries and crime biographies alongside locally produced, acquired and commissioned programming.

In March 2009, CI focused on British crime. Great British Crime Month featured a number of programmes investigating some of the countrys most high-profile crimes and criminals.

Stalker told the dramatic stories of those who had fallen victim to one of Britain's fastest growing crimes; Shannon Matthews: The Disappearance revealed the course of events during Shannons disappearance and included powerful interviews with family members, friends, neighbours and Police Officers at the heart of the case; and Crimes That Shook Britain revealed how the incidents and subsequent investigation led to significant changes in British law.

With an increasingly loyal fan base and improved ratings in 2008 against tough industry conditions and stiff competition, Crime & Investigation Network is a worthy competitor for the Channel of the Year 2009.

  • @kittyscratchesboo In addition, they THEN try to blame the proverbial "outsider" from the "inner city" because their dumb "bedroom suburbia detective" can't go figure that it just CAN'T be one of their own! And they go one like this for years until a down to earth detective who has only balls on the the force (this is of course 30 years AFTER the heinous crime" finally solves it & uses the word "CLOSURE" about 300 times in the program. Have I busted the Reynold's wrap on this shit or what?
