Well to tell you the truth. Those girls are not pro masseus. They are prostitutes. If you go with them it is there job to get you to pay them 20 or 30k yen for their services. Visitor Beware!

The spending habits in Tokyo are so different from the US. I don't think anyone would ever spend that much cash on that in the US

You would be suprised. I was in Hawaii last Xmas and I saw some locals at a Vietnamese Hostess Bar popping $1,000dollar bottles of Champange and having a good time. Wonder where they get their money.
In Japan most people use the company expense for entertaining. That is why the place is packed everynight.
