It seems so apealing to own one of these, they are so beautiful, they are a little too loud and can bite hard so you should be ready for that if i was too own one i guess

Uh, people do put their parrots in their wills. Should people be allowed to own homes? All the inanimate objects like homes and properties outlive humans. I wish people pretending to be intelligent would at least try to think first before flapping their worthless lips.

As for the rescue centre, it is on the North West coast of Costa Rica, about 30 minutes from Tamarindo, in a town called Portegolpe.

The birds were donated by the owners who couldn't care for them anymore. As for Mega's questions, they made a LOT of noise and talked a little but they were still very young at the time and hadn't spent a lot of time with the previous owners. We tried to keep their lives as non confined as possible. They were let out of their cages in the morning, flew and walked around, then came back at night for dinner.

How did you get hold of those? I thought you couldn't take those Macaws from the wild.

As I understand it, you're right ... you can't. The birds, along with many other animals/birds were placed in an animal rescue centre in Costa Rica a few years ago after they were found in someone's home by authorities.
