The music in MK1 and 2 on the Genesis is incredible. Matt Furniss is an absolute beast.

7.5 out of 10 seems a bit harsh just because you think the sound is lacking. Should of given it an 8.
-
@TotalMK Hehe because they are real.
-
@Adam060756 haha true that, Matt made the MK2 drums sound very real :)

@TotalMK I don't think the MK fans watching your review know what a real drumkit sounds like. If they did then maybe they would appreciate the awesome music Matt Furniss did in this game. Most people here seem to prefer that shitty Super NES sound where every game sounds like the audio was being recorded in front of a giant fan.
Being a fellow MK gamer myself and a drummer I really love the music to MK II on Mega Drive, love that snare drum.
Awesome review mate! Loved it.

@TheAxelay I grew up with it also because here in Europe everyone around me had Mega Drives and I had only one friend with SNES. But when I saw the SNES version I was blown away. It was perfect with endings, full speech, vs screen pictures, etc..
Well, at least, the Mega Drive version had Fergality...

You know even though I know that this version is inferior to the Super NES...I still love it because I grew up with it..Yeah some sound samples did suck but it grows on you,Scorpion has the throat-slice fatality (emitted from the SNES version)in this version, sounds samples when kill your opponents (kuddos to Lui Kang and the the ninja babes) are repetitive but funny as hell...To get the most fun outta it enter :Left,Down,Left,Right,Down,Rig
ht,Left,Left,Right,Right..At the end of the options. -
The Snes version of MK2 is better than Genesis version of MK2. But it loses to the 32X Version.
