Tens of thousands of public comments supporting Net Neutrality flooded the Federal Communications Commission before the close of the agency's official inquiry on July 16. In a landslide, well over 95 percent of the comments called for rules that prohibit phone and cable companies from discriminating against Web sites or services.

People from different backgrounds, living in every corner of the country, demand this basic Internet freedom. Internet users from all 435 congressional districts used SavetheInternet.com's online tools to send personal messages to the FCC.

  • America wasn't the birthplace of the Internet, they weren't even the original creators.

Much like many of the things they claim to have discovered, like air.

  • @xigbar4ever we lost?

  • @2camjohn I think you've missed my point. There are no inherent American names, we're a land of immigrants. My original point, directed toward, someone else, is that there were numerous developments (scientifically, socially etc) by Americans (he claimed the names weren't American). My point is that there are no "American names". I'm not sure if you're from here but there are countless people with Italian, German, Polish etc names. Yes, I know some were changed at Ellis island. Most were not.

  • @BigCasinoable There is such a thing as an american name. It what you call naturalization.

The British name Manwaring would become Mannering.

The german name Schneider, would become Snyder or Snider.

America by race is mostly germanic. But you dont see many proper German names.

  • The US culture of big business getting whatever it wants will probably destroy the internet.
