The greatest leaps in human freedom occurred during the 18th and 19th century when "classical liberals" (don't confuse it with modern liberalism) radically marginalized government from the picture. What followed was the Industrial Revolution, and you and I are beneficiaries of that movement. All progress since then has been product of that time. The greatest myth is that we "need" government to save us from each other. Nonsense.
