I was watching this from my boat during heavy drinking. The boat flipped due to lack of aileron control. What do these astronauts expect when the only thing in the water is a propeller? The type of boat the man was killed in was not designed for a propeller, it was designed for glass smooth lakes with a GE jet engine. There is no up front computer controlled ailerons on this boat. The wind is unpredictable on the lake as are the big shot drinkers. Like 15 dollars a gallon big shot this season.

@twentyfourFPS Not sure what you're thinking about, this driver wasn't killed. Maybe another accident. This is a case of the motor being trimmed out a little too high and the wind shifting just before this particular race. Also, the race was very close between the two boats and that always leads to the drivers driving just a little bit harder. Actually, this boat was specially built for this particular race course not for glass calm water.
