Great track on the album the Raven. It's a pity that in this version we can't hear Dave Greenfield's solo. The sound engineer should have turned him up a bit.

awesome. though isnt this from the Raven?
-
No way was this song written in 1977...much later

The Stranglers did play Leeds Queens Hall in 1977. I was there.

This isnt from the No more Heroes tour of 1977! This track comes from the Raven Album released in 1979!

Wish people would check their facts before commenting.. the gig is documented on themeninblack.co.uk, and I quote from my description of the slide show: Music is from No Nukes Festival (Dutch TV) Utrecht Holland 9th April 1982. (Don't worry it is quite unusual for people to read the description!)

You are sadly mistaken here. As said below, this is from 1979 at the earliest. Baroque was never played live before Oct 1979 on Raven tour. On the Raven UK tour of Oct 1979, The Stranglers never played Leeds Queens Hall. This tour they played Leeds University at the refractory and I was there!!
And, the harpshicord sound used on this recording here, wasn't used until 1979 when Dave got his first Oberhiem synth. Before that, he only used the Hammond organ, Hohner piano and Moog synth

@number8mikee Just to clarify things a little more .. the slides ARE from 1977, the music is from 1982. I couldn't find a 1977 audio to use as backing, so rather than have a silent slide show I opted to use one from another year. I had the same grumbles from the Quo fans, but people moan even more when I put out silent movies....

That's correct ... I try to get as close to the year of the photo's as I can for the backing track, but don't always succeed! Hope it doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the slide show.
