  • your beautiful! so is your hair god why is mine so thin. grrr...

  • Aw shucks - thanks so much - but believe me, sometimes having thick hair makes me crazy too! I wake up with dreads every morning!

  • wonderful submission, Fashen! Thanks for the inspiration (to read), the connection (to all of our early leaders, and the great face-to-the "Mix" (YOU!)

  • Thanks Dyana! It took us a while to get going on YouTube, but we're working on it. Happy to get to 'meet' you as well through your videos.

  • Cool. I will have to check that book out. I'm a big fan of mulatto literature and movies. I know some mixed cats hate the term mulatto but what can I say I'm old skool lol. The term "mixed" is too broad for me, us mulattoes have our own culture compared to say hapas (asian +white). Using the word mixed is equivalent to calling people hybrids, hybrid of what? lol. Need to be more specific. Sorry I went off on a tangent. Awesome post though!

  • Thanks Shannon. We feel like people should be able to call themselves whatever they choose. We were recently schooled on the term 'Hapa' though, and it actually also means 'Mixed,' not just with Asian - so it's another word we could use!

  • Okay you need to censor some of the people commenting on here. There are some racist people making extremely nasty comments.

  • I have hapa friends and they use the term specifically to identify themselves as caucasion and asian mixed. I've never heard anyone other than asian+white mixies use the term to identify their heritage but I could be wrong. Thanks for responding! I'm already a fan of you lovely and intelligent mixed ladies. I hope to see more!

  • That's why you got ur first mixed-race President in the white house! too bad 4 you mate as you are now under the command of a creepy mixed-race president & the pain of that is all yours, ha ha!

  • That why your current President of the USA is America's first Bi-racial President elect. Your 1drop rule doesn't apply to nobody, despite the fact that your weak inferior complex mindset like to think it does. Ha ha, we can afford to laught at you, trailer park thrash with limited vocals!

  • Why do you think they are creepy?

    What a dumb unfunded opinion.

  • go away losah.

  • so what makes on race so great? you're most likey mixed in some kind of way.. even if you are just '''''caucasian'''''

  • I THINK MIXED RACE PEOPLE ARE CREEPY, ALSO I FIND TWINS CREEPY! Just like people who find Clowns Creepy i find these people CREEPY!

  • I rather have that then have my hair coming out. It might be because I "relaxed" my mulatto hair with a full black person's perm.
