  • I can see that you have not actually taken the Guitar Craft seminars. It is NOT anything one would have been instructed in during those classes. I know, I was there. This is NOT a Guitar Craft lesson. GC was NOT about "style" of playing or a "Sound". Watching just the way you hold the guitar, I can see you were not there, nor did you get any real GC instruction. You have done Guitar Craft an injustice by misrepresenting your video. Not the way to pay respectful tribute to it.

  • @CraftyGtrist Ok, but I really don't care at all mate, if a style is not the sound and the composition so there's no music is just posture. I care about the music.

    Cheers!

  • Thanx! :)

  • is this song pre-recorded or do you ableton live? it doesn't look like you are using a loop pedal. let me know your secrets i enjoy looping and playing live (i only have songs pre recorded using cubase tho :/ )

  • @MichaelEdwardCurtin Well, actually the info about how I recorded this is on the GMC site. I can tell you that I didn't use a loop station but you could use one to recreate this piece.

    Cheers!

  • Thanx man! I'm glad you liked the composition :D

  • Crafty Guitarist is not a sound, but a technique and a form of connection with music.

Yes, you do sound like the LCG, but the technique you are using differs a lot from theirs. Not judgind yours, though, but just saying that this is not guitar craft.

  • I saw Robert Fripp at Madam Wongs in LA many many years ago when he had two tape decks. He would play a part loop it and play on top then do it again. It was the first of the Frippertronics stuff which this reminds me of.

  • @uninoculated if it had gone on for a fortnight, it might have been Reichy. Thankfully the guy knows how long it takes to drive an audience bonkers....that's why he's currently wowing a captive audience at Guantanamo

  • I'm as big as Fripp fan as anyone, but this "style" is clearly Steve Reich

  • This is really really cool.

    Kudos.

  • @MichaelEdwardCurtin PM me if possible
