Lights-on peek at the Haunted Mansion during evacuation - Walt Disney World

The Haunted Mansion ride had a malfunction while we were riding on April 5, 2011 and the guests had to be evacuated off the ride. We were near the end of the graveyard scene when the ride stopped. After sitting in our Doom Buggy for a bit, we were let out and told to walk through to the exit. Here's what we saw, including the graveyard, hitchhiking ghosts and Little Leota. The ride reopened the next day.

@NatashaDumbeldore That painting has something to do with the busts in the new interactive queue. If you read the bust descriptions you can figure out who killed who, except for one person...

For all of you complaining that the video 'killed the magic' you are all ignorant and living in a dream land or something, I for one am very interested in seeing the ride in a different way. How it's all composed and put together to create the special effects and you can see how much work has gone into it, when you watch stuff like this to see how it's done you can appreciate it a whole lot more. So stop complaining!

I find it absolutely hilarious that people are complaining about watching this video and how it killed the magic. Was someone forcing you to watch it? Did they hold your eyeballs open and say, "Look, we're gonna click on this video called "Haunted Mansion DURING EVACUATION" and you're gonna watch it? I highly doubt it. So stop complaining. This is an interesting peak behind the scenes at the amazing talent the imaginners have at Disney.

They need to slightly refurbish every ride at least once every month to keep them from breaking down!!!!
