I am a huge fan of early cinema and I dont think stolen is the right word, the truth is (and sad as it may be) the majority of film watchers dont care for the earlier stuff like me and you so if these gags get recycled for a new audience there is no real problem there is there? At least people are still laughing no?

True, however there is always some type of music that accompanies the film.
