ADVENTURES OF FRANK & JESSE JAMES SERIAL TRAILER CLAYTON MOORE

Re-release trailer for the 1948 Republic serial, THE ADVENTURES OF FRANK & JESSE JAMES, starring Clayton Moore, Noel Neill, Steve Darrell and George J. Lewis. Responding the success of their previous chapterplay based on the legenday outlaw, Republic Pictures once more cast Clayton Moore as Jesse as Noel Neil as the female lead. Built largely around stock footage from THE ADVENTURES OF RED RYDER, the serial was well-received and further enhanced Moore's reputation as an action hero, which would come in good use the next year when he donned the mask of THE LONE RANGER for the popular television series. Neill had already portrayed Lois Lane earlier in the year in Columbia's SUPERMAN serial, and would return to the character in 1950s ATOM MAN VS. SUPERMAN, with Kirk Alyn once again playing comicdom's "Man of Steel." Both Moore and Neill would find their greatest fame in televsion with these two characters. Though others have played the roles, both remain firmly fixed in the viewing public's mind with the characters of the "Lone Ranger" and "Lois Lane."
