Max Randell was born with Canavan disease, and is confined to a wheelchair. But despit his physical challenges he has been riding horses every Sunday for over five years. It is wonderful that he is able to share his love of horses with his able-bodied brother, Alex. Thank you MCCD!!!

  • how long did setting up for the ride take?

  • Not long, we've been doing this for over 5 years. And the stable is designed for riders with special needs. We just move him from his wheelchair to his horse and he has a half hour lesson every Sunday. It's a wonderful program, all volunteer and one of the womewn with him is a certified Pyysical Therapist.

  • The joy and sense of belonging that Equestrian Connections has given our family is priceless.

  • hey, i also volunteer there, what happend was he did colic really bad, then his intestine ruptured, and they couldnt help him, it was too bad, he was actually the Gentle Giant :( i loved him

  • all I heard was that he had really bad colic and possibly needed surgery. This is Lauren. I haven't really been there alot, so I do't know everybody there...

  • turntip i volunteer their 2 did u hear about trey? who is this?

  • I volunteer there.

Its really a great place, and you can tell that the kids love it. Yesterday a little girl came to ride and said she was grumpy, but after her half hour lesson, she was giggling and playing the bowling game. Its a miricle what horses can do.
