Not to sound like a complete jackass.... but I only understood half of what you said... Can someone here please explain to me how I play this game? Cuz I'm trying to win a bet with my friend. Help is needed... Can I get a tuturial or something....?

I love the game, hate how it revolves around the six cookie cutter characters. Made it a pain in the ass to develop my own storyline. The mini campaign in the back of the book is fantastic though. Recommend the game to average players, but experienced Storytellers (Dungeon Masters)

Hehe! just wanted to say that in Swedish, M'holnir is prenounsed "Mjölner" ... Language outside scandinavie dont know about the Ö so much, but it sounds something like the "i" in "Bird". Mjöl-ner ... and where the E in "-ner" is something like the end of "dinner". maybe something like "Mjilnerr" :)
Just wanted to post it. Maybe someone already have posted it!

I liked the review. You made alot of the things in the book sounds really simple, and while you didnt LIE, you could have made things more precise. I'll admit, alot of things in the book are REALLY complex sounding for no real reason, haha.
I'd also like it to be known that you dont have to have a parent who uses "Sky" magic, like zeus and thor, in order to use Sky. But it does help when making the abilities stronger if they are associated with your parent.

The correct way to say it. (And this is a norwegian speaking.) Is Mjolnir. At least that is as close to how english speaking people can say it right. Since you guys don't have the letters Æ, Ø and Å in your normal, everyday speech.

I agree completely with MasterZenStorm. the idea and Fluff for Scion is great. The actual rules not so much. It's sort of like they took Exalted and smacked it around a bit with a hammer so it didn't fit together properly anymore. If you're not opposed to doing a lot of system rebalancing it could prove to be a fun game. As it stands I didn't enjoy playing it.

No, no it isn't. So apparently, you're the jackass. Well done.

Wait! Those purviews and epic attraributes are available to to any one's scion. It makes since for them to get powers like their parents, but my scion of Hel has Magic, Mystery and Prophecy. There are only a hand full of powers that are pantheon specific, but other then those, any oye can have any power set. (Sorry for my spelling)

Pretty sweet game. I've got a Norse Scion I'm using for a joint game, and I'm just starting a Celtic Scion for a solo game. I was really skeptical about this style of RPG before, but I love it now. White Wolf really puls it off. I'd play anything of theirs over D&D. It'd get so stale fighting troll after troll or whatever it is you fight in that game. My first game with my Norse character, I fought a tengu and it literally took me over 40 turns to kill it after cutting off its arms.
"M'holnir"? It's actually pronounced MYOL-nir, or if you want to be really picky with pronouncing it like a Scandinavian, it's MYERL-ner or MYERL-nir, depending on your nationality (Swedes, Danes and Norwegians more the former, Icelandic, being more archaic, keeps the Old Norse pronunciation.
Sorry for the random stupid correction. Great reviews, though. Scion seems great.

You always do a great job. Keep it up. (your voice sounds just like Jeff Bridges).
