One of the easiest songs ever written. Very basic song but still fun to play. Post any questions

  • Yeah, you're right I'm not using a pick . I'm using the edges of my fingernails. I poistion my hand sort of like i'm using a pick, so on the down stroke, it's mostly the finger nails of my fingers, while the up stroke it's mainly the thumb nail. And all the root notes I'm plucking with my thumb . . . Does that help any?.

  • After you finish strumming, use the meat part of your thumb to slap back down on the strings. You can do it all different ways. My advice would be to just just play around with it for a while and see what you like. Hope this helps

  • I'm glad you liked it

  • Doesn't really matter, it's just whatever you like

  • When I play it, on the down strokes, I focus more on the low E and upper strings and on the up strokes focus more on the bottom strings. I play it pretty loose though and that might not be your style. Play around with it and see what you like. The only one I don't hit is on the A chord I never hit the low E. I don't know if this answers your question. Hope this helps

  • wow great job thanks a lot!!!:)

  • Can you describe a little more how you use your thumb in the strumming pattern with your fingers? looks like you use your thumb and index almost like a pick but I don't see one? ... awesome job though! ... I'm gonna go out and buy some nylons strings tomorrow. I look forward to your answer.

  • thanks man!
