Traditional techniques from the original Japanese MMA created centuries ago for real self defence.

If you like the video and would like to train with use, come to the address on the opening and closing titles of the video.

We are not sport, Brazilian JiuJitsu or a competition art. We are a traditional club using traditional and barely changed Japanese Samurai developed techniques that really work. We work hard, bleed, sweat and we help you reach your potential with your own commitment. Come and try us for a free lesson.

We use the combined arts of Judo, Aikido, Ninjitsu, Kung Fu, Karate and Kempo, creating an effective and dangerous system that doesn't really on flash techniques.

  • TJJ teaches Knee Strikes, Ankle Strikes, Throat Strikes, Eye Strikes, Nose Strikes, Ear Strikes, groin strikes. No matter what the attackers Martial Art or belt grading a knee strike would end a fight dead. 70% of all fights end on the ground... hmmmm - that includes all fights where both attackers are not trained fighters. In a situation where one is trained fighter and other not, I bet the percentage would go down to 10%. Do you agree?

  • I agree, someone quoted at me the other day that the Gracies said 90% of all fights end up on the ground. I doubt it as the objective is to stay off the ground for the sake of self preservation!

  • Traditional Jui Jitsu works. It has all the strikes and Joint Locks/throws you could ever need. BJJ is clearly a stronger Martial Art but that means nothing. The moves in TJJ are still capable of taking down most if not all attackers. The Student has to apply themselves to the Art but as with most things the simpliest techniques are usually the most powerful. Mixed with another Art like Karate and WOW!

  • Thank you for a positive and sensible comment. I agree with you about applying yourself to the are, all arts are equally as effective if the student applies his or herself. I just wish more people would realise that Japanese Jiu Jitsu should contain Karate, Judo, Aikido and more depending on the instructor and school's style, which is why it is more effective than people realise.

  • If you are going to post comments please don't slate or run down the art. It is not BJJ or UFC JuJitsu it is traditional from the techniques to the Shotokan Karate Kata at the beginning. There are a lot of flash videos on here and although this doesn't compare I'd like to think that anyone who knows about traditional JuJitsu will like the techniques and see that they work.

    Thank you.
