@mrblackbelt42 You are correct on all points Sir. My apologies if you felt I disrespected you, It was not my intention. As I said you have great form. We are taught that the X block is to block a groin kick otherwise what is the combat aspect of it ? If you have another explanation for it please feel free to explain.I am always interested in what respectful people have to say.

@cyjack1 Yes Sir, Unfortunatly, you are right. Forms are taught differently across world differently. Therefore, It would be impolite to say one's form is wrong. It would be more acurate to say that the form is just different. Forms are however, supposed to be seemless, powerful, flowing, graceful and intense. If you practice with that in mind, i believe you are on the right track. However, if your form looks like a strugle with yourself, then something is amiss.
Thanks for listening.

@juancruz1992 You are correct about the stances but keep in mind Nick was 10/11 yrs old at the time. Also keep in mind that different schools teach hyungs in small but different ways. We recently returned from S.Korea where my son demonstrated for Grand Master Song Ki Kim . I always enjoy meeting other who are involved in martial arts. Thanks again for your comments.

@cyjack1 Im sure that there will be no offence or disrespect taken by him. Mr.Hurt has been practicing Tang Soo Do for 36 years and was trained by Grand Master Yul Ki Yu. So, I would believe his way of doing the form is correct. There was no point. I just wanted Tang Soo Do practitioners to view a very traditional way of doing Tang Soo Do. According to Mr.Hurt, Your back leg should never be bent and you should never lean in a front stance. Thanks

@juancruz1992 - I watched it but not sure what your point is. Yes he has very nice form but his X block is supposed to block a kick to the groin (ask him) and that block never would have done that, not low enough. No offence or disrespect intended.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, and also the link. Have a great day .

I would love to. I think it would even be helpful. Alas, our Grand Master forbids it as he says it is like giving a gun to a child. A child that has no idea what a gun can do in reality.

@CarolyntheGreat LOL...That has to be one of the most ridiculous comments I have heard to date. . I only approved so I could respond. First off my son is a very accomplished black belt ,Helpful ? I think not. He has won at many National and International TSD tournaments. I know many of the highest ranking Grand Masters in the U.S today. We have also traveled to Korea and preformed for the Great Grand Master. I Wish I had room to say more . No further comments from you will be approved.

It is astounding to me how differently our dojangs teach this form.

@CarolyntheGreat I would be interested in seeing how you are shown how to do this this form. I know there are many slight differences in how most TSD form are taught . Personally I don't get it , they should all be the same or at the least very close. Can you post your "style" of this form ? And then get back to me so I can see? It would be much appreciated. Also where is your dojang located ( state/country ) . Thank you :)
