I kinda don't like what happened back then when white people remade music and got all the credit for it. I mean, i know that this didn't happen to all of the time. But since technology hadn't advanced far enough for people to know...

What does it mean that Beach boys can sing but they can not sang as you say?
What you said is a little bit rassistic. I dont care whether the musicians are black or white, I dont give a damn, as long as as their music gives me goosebumps, which is the case with both Beach boys and Frankie Lymons version of this song. And what do you mean when you say that this version is tailored for white people? It is an insult to me, because both versions are beautiful to my ears and my heart!

@derspenc I wasn't referring to this song as Beach Boys music. I was saying that this song showcases my favorite element of recordings of their own songs. I'm not comparing them to The Teenagers, whose style is completely different. But I maintain that this song is a perfect one for them to sing, because Brian's falsetto was so spectacular.

This isn't "Beach Boys music". This is The Teenagers song and this version is tailored to white people lol. They can sing but cant "sang"

Sounds like it was recorded at Western with the Wrecking Crew. Does anyone else hear Phil Spector's Wall Of Sound influence on this track?

The opening chords are just magical. I ♥ the Beach Boys' music!
