@DragsterNFS They are pretty easy to maintain. Altough I have to admit that I'm not all that handy. Most of the time I can tell what's wrong, but I will let someone else fix it for me. Modern cars are pretty much driving computers, My Astra is still pretty simple. Has some weird electronic problems though. Fuses burst, central locking refuses to work every now and then. I am a bit worried about that to behonest. As far as french cars go:They're pretty good atm! Especially Citroën is doing great!
@stijnkraft yeah, they are sturdy, and a great material for younger car enthusiasts such as myself for first contact with car mechanics, it's all accessible, plain and roomy.. my father owns a corsa 1.2 twinport '05, so far so good! I think I'll also stick with the french, although you can't really compare the old vs the new anymore in terms of reliability..it's a shame
@DragsterNFS Very nice. These 1.1's and 1.4's are incredibly sturdy. They also use a distribution chain instead of a belt, so there's usually no need replacing that either. Cheap to run and still brilliant to drive. I now own a Citroën Visa and a '96 Opel Astra stationwagon. I'm really a french/swedish/british car-enthusiast, but I really haven't got the time and money to take care of one now, so the Visa's going to go away soon :(. The car to eventually replace the Opel will be french though :)
exelante démarrage pour une renault de cette âge et de ce kilomètre , elle doit être bien entretenu c'est ce qui aide aussi ;)
