@lintu25 during the Falkland war many British sailors died, when cruise missiles hit a ship their is a flash fire on top of the initial explosion, many navy's around the world use the white mask, their uniforms are made from the same material.

The outfits are made from Nomex which is flame resistance as well.

@Jimderkaisser those ships are not made from wood anymore :)
So if your inside of metal box, there is no harm from outgoing missile.
I know, i served on missileboat and we didnt got those.
That why i asked or is that just for tv?
And even those masks are made from material what dont burn, those regular outfits are flameable or melting polyester .)
But anyway, love the missile lauch.
