Spring Skiing with Brevlin & Caleb at Discovery Basin

I took my grandsons Brevlin & Caleb on their first spring hike and ski yesterday. We went up to Discovery Basin and as it turned out there was a gate across the road 2 miles from the area. So, I taught them about walking and then hiking to earn your turns. What a couple of troopers for 7 and 9 years old. A 2 mile walk in and back out again and they were still having fun at the end of the whole thing. We did high fives to Uncle Billy because we felt him blow the wind off the mountain at us as we came into view of the ski area and imagined him to be smiling down on us from the beautiful bluebird skies.
