Come to think of it he didn't actully sing an entire song
In crocodile rock they cut out the last verse because it is the same as the first one
he sang a bit of bennie and the jets
They cut out "What do u think you'll do then i'll bet it shoot down your plane it will take you a couple of vodka and tonics to set you on your feet again" in good-bye yellow brick road.
And he didn't sing all of don't go breaking my heart (with miss piggy)

True, but take into consideration The Muppet Show was only half an hour long and there were 2 or 3 commercial breaks too.
