@MrLeonor First off he did not have a AK-47. But for the sake of arguement if my life was in danger and the person causing that danger had a AK and I had a 9mm then yes I would fight back the best I could. What would you do?

The point I was making was that the police did not protect the victims, they waited until it was safe for them to enter the building. If they are not going to protect the people when they need it then we should be allowed to do it ourselves.

What were they thinking? They were thinking that we should be able to protect ourselves. Notice that not one single police officer went in the building? Not one did anything to stop this guy. They waited until it was all over and then went in to count the bodies. Perhaps if one law abiding student was allowed to have a gun, lives might have been saved.

It just stood out to me cuz I never really paid attention to when the Virgina Tech shootings were on TV, so whatever
