  • I boycotted this movie because the main people in the true story were mostly Asian, but because the movie industry thought that Asians couldn't it pull off so they made some white people the stars in the movie. Remember, the Asians were the true brains and making the dough.

  • not to sound racist but........white people replace the true characters with themselves....what else is knew

  • @M16xDr0pSh0tz Exactly, no one would want to see Asians being the main characters. So then we have to think about why no one wants to see Asians (and other ethnicities) in a major movie role aside from stereotypical roles and what that means about society. Just some food for thought.

  • @JonGuitar05

maybe but no one would want to see asians being the main but there are two asians i think and its a pretty good balance

  • @AliminiumHydroxide It's like having a white man play Martin Luther King. Some facts you just have to stick to.

  • @AliminiumHydroxide Part fact and part spin tbh. There was a controversy over the cast selection. That is without a doubt. The perspective on which one sees the motives behind the cast selection is subjective. And I agree, that ethnicity should not determine the degree of how well an actor/actress performs, but IF a character is portrayed differently based on the premise that race would affect profits margins, than I have a problem.

  • @JonGuitar05 Is that fact, or just your spin on things? The ethnicity of an actor shouldn't mean anything, so long as they can play the fucking character well it shouldn't matter.

  • @StreifelXP I understand where you are coming from, however it doesn't fully work out IMO. I am not saying that all the characters were asian, but most def the main character was. For example, if they were to do a movie of Michael Jordon, but made him Asian because the movie industry was afraid of offending people with stereotypes, then the movie would lose its true intention. Tricky subject for sure tho. Btw, Im asian and i suck at math haha

  • @JonGuitar05 Well if they were all asian wouldnt you think the movie was a bit racist if you didnt know that they actually were. I mean come on counting cards is math and Asians are stereotypicaly good at math.

  • I think if I'm going to have to watch a modern gambling movie, I'll just stick with Last Casino. Of course it helps that Katherine Isabelle was in that one.

  • @MsMarc1234 haha yeh, i know who u talking about. And I'm just messing with you about the spelling and stuff. No hard feelings lol
