@lou2u Often, it isn't the best voice or the best dancer, but it's the memorable performer who stands out in the crowd and Carol certainly has that quality! She has always been sort of a living caricature, and she's played that role for all it's worth. What amazes me is that at 90, she still seems to be going strong and she's loving every minute of it!

Oh she can dance, dance very well. The movement that she is doing here is a deliberate style. It is for comic value. Her special with Pearl Bailey is worth the watch. It is kind of amazing to see her impersonate other people...one realizes how she created a "Carol" persona every bit as effective as "Marlyn" created a Norma Jean

she clearly can't sing or dance but whatever it is she does is mesmerizing in a "this isn't like anything i've ever seen" kind of way. so i'm guessing that's the appeal right?
