  • Var. 12, the last chord in measure 6 I think you held too long, for my taste. There is poco rit and then Meno mosso (allegretto) that section was a bit too fast. It's the problem of allargando and meno mosso at the end of the piece.

After all, you did a very good job.

  • Good choice of tempo for the Tango, but be aware of the allargando. I like your Var. 9, but I would play a slightly faster, or with rubato somehow. Also, aware of the last system, molto rit and the Meno mosso, with another rit later on. Var. 10 is tough and you played well, but I would play without pedal for the first half too. Again, Var. 11 is Andante. It would be more convincing to play it faster.

  • Good job. However, I'm not convinced with the tempo for Var 1 to 5. Var. 1 marks Allegro moderato. It should be slower than Allegro ma non troppo, the tempo marking from the theme. So, since Var. 1 is too fast, Var. 2 seems a bit out of control. Var. 3 L'istesso tempo, should be a bit slower. It is excited in Var. 4 but I think it's too fast. Var. 5 Andante Tranquillo should move more. I feel dragging. You have an extra note in Var. 7 on the left hand in bar 12, that make the melody sounds funny

  • Haha, okay. Very tricky... Thanks :)

  • in the beginning it's paganini caprice 24

  • to pongpiano, variation 3 is attacca

  • Whoa, I totally recognize this, especially the beginning. Is it in a commercial or something? I don't mean to sound like an ignorant philistine here; I've been playing Muczynski since age 13 but never heard this piece.

I thought this might be mislabeled until I heard the bass octaves at 1:16...SOOOO Muczynski (I think there's something nearly identical to it in the Time Pieces...)

  • nice. very exciting, like it a lot!

maybe it would help to think of the waltz as if it were conceived as something to be danced to, which of course it wasn't, but i think it'd help the flow. also, perhaps less pedal in var 10, and a closer look at the articulation there may help. again, really loved it!

  • nice. like it a lot. even though the waltz is marked 'slow waltz', i'd feel it more as if it were conceived actually as a dance, which of course it wasn't, but i think it really helps the flow. maybe a less pedal in var 10, and a closer look at the articulations there?

    really exciting!

  • Not bad.

too much classical. more Jazz style

    var.2-3 is it attacca ??????
