This bizarre scene comes from the "live-action" puroresu event Kinnikumania 2009, which should be famous for the fact it stars Kinnikuman, Robin Mask, Warsman and various other fictional characters from the cult classic Japanese anime/manga "Kinnikuman" competing in wrestling matches. IRL. I'm not kidding.
Asides from a good few moments I would consider either ridiculous or unfaithful, or a let down to the fans, this was my favourite scene in the entire event. Ashuraman's goatee and epic fail attempt at the classic laugh aside, we see Robin Mask and Warsman enjoying themselves in what appears to be someone's backyard jacuzzi funhouse. Warsman appears to be waxing his head happily, while Robin Mask just seems content to nervously look around and feel generally uncomfortable.
The surreal quality provided by the steamed up camera and retro BGM straight from the anime series seem to give off the impression of an Eighties gay porno. Ashuraman giggling like a Japanese schoolgirl as he watches men preen themselves in the bath house drives this notion home even harder.
However, my favourite moment in all seriousness, as seems to be the case from the roar of the crowd watching, is when the classic scene in which the villain Atlantis submerges from the water holding the helmet of Robin Mask is recreated as faithfully as possible. This moment is a well-known one from the "Seven Akuma Chōjin/Seven Devil Supermen" Arc of the original manga/anime, as it was pretty much a massive shocker at the time.
And why does Ashuraman throw an ice-cream tub full of water over Warsman? - He's a "Fighting Computer" or more appropriately, a Robo Chōjin/Robo Superman, and water doesn't agree with him! Hence the early Nineties electric shock effects.
I can't explain how much I love it when old scenes from retro anime/manga are parodied. It's quirky, I know, but those who have visited Japanese oekaki sites like Asame BBS will have seen the sort of parodying I'm talking about. This cranks it up a notch, as the reference is taking place in reality.
If there was ever an excuse for Cosplay to not be hideously burnt in the fires of Hell, along with all the fat Americans that attempt it and fail miserably, this is it. Camp as Christmas, but as a fan, it brought a massive smile to my face. Enjoy!

WTF. Why in the bathtub?!
Why doesn't Ashuraman use the less creepy/original anime laugh of 'KAKAKAKAKA!!"

I saw the whole thing. It was immensely entertaining. I would of loved to see a Live Action Terryman though.
My favorite part has got to be when the Big Bombers won the Tag Team Championship. I did NOT see that coming.

I've never seen a fat American cosplay as Kinnikuman characters....Kinnikuman and "Ultimate Muscle" aren't popular there.
But yes, the gay porno vibe was definitely there.

Damn, who can even be a fan of that show/movie to be let down by it? It looks like something some guys with too much spare time filmed at home
